Following TRA's change to the new DoTS system at the start of 2025 and the release of a full year of data for the regions, the dashboard now shows a regional breakdown for 2025.
Domestic and total spend cannot be reliably reported prior to 2025 and are therefore only shown for 2025. See the Tourism Research Australia website for more info on the methodology change.
The 2024 fact sheets are based on the National Visitor Survey and will be updated shortly with data from DoTS.

Updated annually, the factsheets detail visitor numbers for the areas, length of visitor stay, visitor spend and other key insights. Each factsheet is based on data from Tourism Research Australia, who publish visitor statistics for certain Australia LGAs.
Regional Development Commission fact sheets
Beyond our five main tourism regions, we have developed insights into the Regional Development Commissions areas across Western Australia. Each factsheet includes information on visitor numbers, where these visitors come from, how much they spend and more destination insights. Updated each calendar year, the factsheets are based on data from Tourism Research Australia's Domestic Tourism Statistics collection and International Visitor Survey.
