Following TRA's change to the new DoTS system at the start of 2025 the first year of data has been reviewed and changes made affecting inter- and intrastate expenditure as well as backcast estimates for 2019-2024. Further information can be found here.
Domestic and total spend cannot be reliably reported prior to 2025 and are therefore only shown for 2025. See the Tourism Research Australia website for more info on the methodology change.

Updated annually, the factsheets detail visitor numbers for key areas, length of visitor stay, visitor spend and other key insights. Each factsheet is based on data from Tourism Research Australia, who publish visitor statistics for certain Australia LGAs. Due to the data structure within DoTS, the 2025 factsheets have been produced for a combination of LGAs. More detail can be found within the individual factsheets.
