What is TRIP?
Tourism WA’s Trade Ready Introduction Program (TRIP) has been developed to assist established tourism operators to expand their business into the interstate and international markets, whilst increasing WA’s presence and offering product diversity at out-of-state trade events. Over a three-year period, operators in the program are provided with stepped-financial assistance to attend in-market trade events and support in establishing relationships with buyers through various trade engagement opportunities.
Following a formal expression of interest (EOI) application process, successful operators are onboarded into the program and are provided with guidance in their preparation to attend Australia’s largest annual trade event, the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE). The TRIP cohort attend ATE in either a share or single booth where they conduct approximately 80 pre-scheduled appointments and attended various networking events. In addition to attending ATE, the operators have the opportunity to attend other trade events, including Tourism Australia Marketplace events and Tourism WA Roadshows whilst receiving hands-on support in preparing for the trade events and building B2B connections.
WA tourism operators that are ready to expand their business into the interstate and international markets are encouraged to apply for TRIP through the always-open EOI application process.
How can I apply?
Applications are open year-round, with the next application review taking place in October. Expressions of interest submitted by 30 September in the current calendar year will be considered for intake into the program in the following calendar year.
To be considered for the next program intake, submit an expression of interest by completing the application form here.
