Tourism WA is inviting Requests for Proposals from experienced tourism investors to partner with the Shire of Ravensthorpe and pursue an opportunity to deliver a unique, environmentally sensitive tourist accommodation offering in the Hamersley Inlet Reserve (the Reserve).
Registrations are now open
The Reserve borders the Fitzgerald River National Park - Western Australia’s only declared UNESCO biosphere reserve and one of only five in Australia. It is located approximately 25 minutes’ drive west of the coastal town of Hopetoun, on the southern coast of Western Australia.
The Reserve is approximately 130 hectares which overlooks the Inlet and Western Australia’s spectacular southern coastline. The area is renowned for its spectacular and highly unique wildflowers and walk trails.
It is anticipated a sensitively designed accommodation offering will leverage Fitzgerald River National Park’s growing visitation and target a low-impact visitor market seeking immersive nature-based experiences in a remote and environmentally significant setting. Visitation over the past five years is provided below.
This opportunity is being presented as part of the State Government’s $17.7 million National Park Tourism Experiences Development (NPTED) program. For a full overview of the Hamersley Inlet Reserve partnership opportunity see the Fitzgerald River National Park – Hamersley Inlet Reserve prospectus below. Terms and Conditions for Accommodation Proposals and Competitive Process Probity Guidelines provided below should be read in conjunction with the prospectus.
