Western Australia was showcased nationally in a special one-hour television feature, inspiring viewers across the country to explore the state’s diverse regional offerings.
Tourism Western Australia supported the television special, Explore TV Western Australia, which aired on Tuesday, 2 June on Channel 9 and featured The Dreamers – Tourism WA’s passionate and authentic ambassadors who embody the spirit and diversity of the state.
Through storytelling and exploration, The Dreamers highlight six defining experience pillars: Nature and Wildlife; Aboriginal Experiences; Road Trips and Station Stays; Food and Drink; Art, Sports and Entertainment; and Hikes and Trails.
Explore TV Western Australia showcased a range of uniquely West Australian experiences, shining a national spotlight on the state through a series of compelling storylines with the Dreamers, including:
- Discovering Perth's arts and sporting culture with Amberley Lobo;
- Snorkelling with Ningaloo's marine wildlife and exploring Cape Range National Park with Anouska 'Nush' Freedman;
- Adventure touring through Pemberton's rainforest and hiking the Cape to Cape Track with Cam Bostock;
- A road trip through Australia's Golden Outback with Aaron Green, following the Golden Quest Discovery Trail through Kalgoorlie, Lake Ballard, and other unique towns, before finishing in Esperance;
- Exploring iconic Western Australian wineries and the Great Southern food scene with Paul Iskov; and
- Immersing in Aboriginal cultural experiences and more in the Kimberley with Tremane Baxter-Edwards.
The episode is available to stream on 9Now until December 2026, extending its reach and impact as a powerful destination marketing platform for Western Australia.
To further drive awareness and interstate visitation, a four-week campaign of 30-second television commercials featuring the Walking On A Dream brand is airing across Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane on Nine and 9Now.
Explore TV Western Australia is Western Australia's latest on-screen destination feature, following WA's hugely successful Home and Away special that was filmed in 2025 across a range of iconic locations including Perth/Boorloo, Exmouth, Coral Bay, Cape Range National Park, and Bullara Station, showcasing the state to millions of viewers across the nation and overseas.
