​​​The majority of people that visit WA are from the domestic market – this includes West Australians who holiday at home (intrastate market) and those from other parts of Australia (interstate market).

Our goal is to entice more people from around the country to travel to WA and experience our incredible destinations and experiences through:

  • Exciting and inspiring marketing campaigns
  • Marketing activities with a wide range of travel distributors such as airlines, wholesalers, retail travel chains and online tourism agents who have the ability to sell WA tourism product to encourage bookings
  • Promoting events to showcase that there is always something on in WA

Example of interstate promotion - the Experiences campaign

We have launched a campaign in partnership with Big Red Group, across their RedBalloon and Adrenaline brands, to promote unique WA experiences to East Coast audiences. Working with a select team of content creators, including Scott Slawinski, Dylan Alcock and Ashleigh Vader, the campaign shows a range of real stories, based on real journeys across WA – from Margaret River, Exmouth, Rottnest, Geraldton and Broome. The content, running until the end of June, will be leveraged across paid and organic media channels, including social (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) and online video (YouTube).
