The industry events calendar features upcoming events coordinated by Tourism WA or other organisations, which may be of interest to WA’s tourism industry. It includes trade events, training for tourism operators, workshops, industry briefings, networking opportunities and award night presentations.​

Growing Wine Tourism and Exports: introductory online workshop I 9.30am-12.30pm AWST (daily)
Wine Australia in partnership with ATEC and Hydra Consulting have combined the ‘Growing Wine Tourism’ and ‘Growing Wine Exports’ programs, to deliver new-look hybrid online workshops that cover both wine export and wine tourism training at introductory and advanced levels. The training comprises 4 x 3 hour online sessions, participants can also choose to select only Wine Tourism or Wine Exports, all workshops are heavily subsidized by the Australian Government’s $50 million Export and Regional Wine Support Package. TOURISM BOUND – invitation only event
Tourism WA is hosting TOURISM BOUND – an invitation only event which will bring together local government leaders and tourism industry partners from across the State to strengthen relationships, generate ideas and discover how we can all collaboratively shape the future of tourism. This all-day event will provide opportunities to engage with key tourism stakeholders, as well as drive collaborations and connections with other local government representatives.

FACET’s 30th Birthday
The Forum Advocating Cultural and Eco-Tourism Inc (FACET) is inviting members of the tourism industry join them in celebrating its 30th birthday with an event at the Claremont Yacht Club. The evening begins at 6.30pm with drinks followed by a buffet dinner and entertainment. Find out more information and register on the FACET website.

Australian Tourism Export Council Meeting Place 
The Australian Tourism Export Council’s (ATEC) premier annual event, Meeting Place, will be presented virtually this year due to COVID-19. The event will focus on the road to recovery, and offer a range of registration options, from B2B meeting participation between buyers and sellers to networking opportunities.

Global Eco Asia-Pacific Tourism Conference I Margaret River
More than 60 speakers will present at the Global Eco Asia-Pacific Tourism Conference this year, in a vote of confidence for the ecotourism industry. Global Eco will, for the first time ever, will offer online participation. Global Eco is being staged as a live conference for West Australians and as a virtual conference for those located interstate or internationally. The program has a strong focus on building the domestic market and rebuilding inbound markets. Presentations will be made by operators who have faced natural disasters, as well as the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tourism Council WA’s Xmas Tipple
Save the date for Tourism Council WA’s Xmas Tipple. The tourism industry’s biggest Christmas party, Xmas Tipple is the time to catch up and relax with others in the tourism industry and reflect on the year that was.

Skål Christmas event
Enjoy lunch with travel and tourism industry friends at the Duxton Ballroom for the 2020 Skål International Perth Christmas networking lunch. Tickets to the event include a two course sit down lunch and four hour drinks package.

Destination Australia 2021 I Sydney
Tourism Australia will host the seventh annual Destination Australia conference at the ICC Sydney. After the unprecedented challenges of 2020, the conference will focus on the future of Australian tourism, with high profile speakers sharing consumer insights, global trends and discussing key opportunities for the tourism industry in a post COVID-19 world. Destination Australia will also be offered online for those unable to attend in person.
