Tourism Council WA 2018 training workshops
Tourism Council WA has announced its training workshop schedule for the first half of 2018, delivering a range of industry-relevant training across Western Australia. These workshops are regularly updated to ensure they deliver the latest information and insights for your business. Training will take place in Albany, Broome, Exmouth, Geraldton, Kununurra, Margaret River, and Perth. For more information or to register, visit the Tourism Council WA website.

Meet the experts in exporting  | Perth
Learn more about exporting into key Asian markets at a small business networking event hosted by the Small Business Development Corporation and the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation. The event, which will be opened by Tourism Minister Paul Papalia, provides an opportunity to make new contacts in the State Government’s overseas trade and investment offices, gain insights into doing business in these regions and learn what is required to incorporate exporting into your business operations. NoVacancy Accommodation Business Expo | Sydney
NoVacancy Accommodation Business Expo is Australia’s largest and most comprehensive business event for those who own, run and market hotels, motels, serviced apartments and other accommodation properties across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Held at the ICC Sydney Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour, the expo covers all aspects of running an accommodation business - from purchasing, operations and finance to design, refurbishment, marketing and sales. The event will include 170+ quality suppliers, business education and valuable networking opportunities. India Travel Mission | Jaipur, India
ITM is an opportunity for representatives from the Australian tourism industry to establish business relationships with key qualified travel agencies and tour operators from India, including the main cities of Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Pune and Jaipur.

Corroboree Asia | Gold Coast
Corroboree Asia is an Australia-based trade event that combines a training workshop and familiarisation visits exclusively for qualified Aussie Specialist agents from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, India, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. These qualified Aussie Specialists actively sell Australia as a preferred long-haul destination to Asian travellers with many of them being frontline retail agents as well as a mix from wholesale and online travel agents.

As a part of the ongoing youth campaign, Tourism Australia will once again be sponsoring the Australian Village at this year’s World Youth and Student Travel Conference.

The finalists in the 2018 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards will be announced at Finals Fever. This year, the event is hosted by Little Creatures Fremantle, beverage sponsors of the 2018 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards.

Tourism WA Greater China Travel Mission
The Greater China Travel Mission aims to increase awareness of Western Australia as a holiday destination and provides WA operators with a platform to develop and increase business opportunities with key trade partners in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The host city will be announced shortly. More details on registering for the Tourism WA Greater China Travel Mission 2018 will be available in June/July.

IMEX America 2018 | Las Vegas, USA
IMEX America is the USA’s largest meetings industry trade show. It is a global exhibition event for incentive travel, meetings and events that attracts thousands of professionals from the USA and internationally. With more than 3,000 hosted buyers attending, IMEX America provides opportunities for business, networking and education.

Australian Indigenous Tourism Conference | Victoria
The Western Australian Indigenous Tourism Operators Council (WAITOC) has announced the ninth Australian Indigenous Tourism Conference (AITC) will be held in Lorne, Victoria. Facilitated by WAITOC, hosted by Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation and supported by the State Government of Victoria and Outback Academy, the conference will table the opportunities and challenges within the industry and include presentations by tourism industry leaders.

The Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards Gala Dinner is the tourism industry's night of nights - announcing the medallists in this year's Awards program at Crown Perth. The evening features a great range of entertainment, including MC Peter Rowsthorn and music from The Murphy Brothers, alongside delicious food and beverages from sponsors Little Creatures and Happs Wines.

AHA Hospitality Awards for Excellence & Gala Ball | Crown, Perth
The AHA Hotel Awards for Excellence has grown to be the biggest night on Western Australia’s hospitality calendar, celebrating excellence in hotels, accommodation, restaurants, small bars, employees and dining and entertainment venues. This Gala Ball includes the presentation of over 40 individual awards, recognising excellence across Western Australia’s hospitality industry.
