It includes trade events, training for tourism operators, workshops, industry briefings, networking opportunities and award night presentations.​

2019 events
April 29-30
The WA State History and Heritage Conference (WASHHC), 'Handle with Care', is being held at the Westin Perth Hotel.  The conference, supported by Tourism WA, will explore how places, stories and collections face many threats, including the environment, time, misuse, neglect and misguided good intent. WASHHC will also explore other elements of heritage, history and collections that may need to be ‘handled with care’.

The 2019 Bankwest WA Hospitality Supplier and Legends Awards will be held at Crown Perth. This event will mark the official opening of the 2019 Hospitality Expo - Western Australia’s largest annual hospitality conference and expo. The awards showcase outstanding suppliers, promotions, products and services that are provided to WA’s hospitality sector. Each of supplier award category is voted by customers from various sectors of WA’s hotel and hospitality industry including accommodation properties, hotels, taverns, bottle-shops, small bars, restaurants and tourism venues.

May 14-15
AHA Hospitality Expo and Conference | Perth
Hospitality Expo is WA’s largest industry-only tradeshow showcasing a comprehensive collection of the latest products and services on offer to the hospitality industry. Exhibitors travel from all over the country for the opportunity to align their brand with this event, and present to thousands of potential clients over two days. This two-day event showcases cutting-edge technologies, the latest in beverages, fresh produce and high-quality venue equipment.

IMEX | Frankfurt, Germany
IMEX Frankfurt is a key business events exhibition where international planners from the conference, convention and corporate events industries gather to do business. IMEX gives the Australian business events industry the opportunity to meet influential international buyers responsible for organising corporate meetings, incentive travel programs and association events.

June 18-20
The Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC), in partnership with Wine Australia and the South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC), is proud to present the ‘National Wine Tourism Conference: Beyond the Barrel’ as part of the Federal Government’s $50 million Export and Regional Wine Support Package. This three-day conference, being held in South Australia, will feature business meetings, conference sessions and networking events and opportunities.

August 8-11
Australia Marketplace India 2019 | Kochi, Kerala, India
Tourism Australia’s India flagship trade event, Australia Marketplace India 2019 will take place in Kochi, Kerala, India from August 8 to 11. This will be followed by a networking dinner in Mumbai on August 12. The program includes pre-scheduled meetings between buyers and sellers, as well as networking opportunities. The event is an opportunity for WA tourism operators to establish business relationships with up to 100 key qualified travel agencies and tour operators from India. Applications close on Monday, April 29. 

August 26-29
Registrations are now open for the North American Australia Marketplace 2019. This annual event brings together more than 100 North American buyers and 100 Australian tourism products and experiences. The program begins with an industry update and reception on August 26, followed by three days of appointments and networking opportunities.

September 16-18
The 2019 WA Tourism Conference, which is supported by Tourism WA, will be held in Karratha, from September 16 to 18. Following a competitive tender process, the City of Karratha was awarded the event in recognition of its significant commitment to growing the region’s tourism capacity and offering. To assist tourism businesses from across WA to attend the event, the City of Karratha is offering a subsidy for those who will be flying or driving long distances. More details on the event will be announced soon. Tourism Council WA is now seeking submissions of papers and topics from potential speakers on regional tourism, Aboriginal tourism, ecotourism and geotourism. Submissions close 5pm WST April 30.
