Tourism Council WA 2018 training workshops
Tourism Council WA has announced its training workshop schedule for the first half of 2018, delivering a range of industry-relevant training across Western Australia. These workshops are regularly updated to ensure they deliver the latest information and insights for your business. Training will take place in Albany, Broome, Exmouth, Geraldton, Kununurra, Margaret River, and Perth. For more information or to register, visit the Tourism Council WA website.

Tourism Australia Industry briefing | Perth and Yallingup
Tourism Australia is holding two industry briefing sessions in WA in February – in Yallingup on February 21 and in Perth on February 22. The briefings provide an overview of Tourism Australia's activity, latest market insights, business events activity and partnerships, and are open to all Australian-based operators free of charge. The Qantas Australian Tourism Awards are the industry’s premier awards program recognising outstanding industry achievement in 25 categories. The event is expected to attract more than 800 people from across the country including Federal and State tourism ministers, CEOs of state and regional tourism bodies and tourism industry leaders.

Walkabout Japan | Karuizawa, Japan
Walkabout Japan presents an opportunity for Australian tourism products and services to engage with key Japanese travel agencies.  Buyers will include a mix of 30 wholesale planners, group sales, media sales, FIT sections in major agencies, local travel agencies, OTAs and land operators from Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka. Thirty Australian seller organisations will be selected to represent a balanced and wide cross-section of Australian organisations with products or services potentially attractive to the Japanese market.

Tourism Council WA has added the new Photography for Tourism workshop to its training schedule, being held in Perth on February 28. Become a more confident self-photographer, and learn basic photography skills and how to apply them for your business in this workshop delivered by WellStrategic's Craig Wells. FACET Forum with Willie Creek Pearls  | Perth | 5.30pm-7pm
Forum Advocating Cultural and Ecotourism Inc (FACET) is partnering with Willie Creek Pearls at Elizabeth Quay to host its first forum for the year. International Tourismus Boerse (ITB) Berlin | Germany
The Internationale Tourismus Börse (ITB) brings together prominent people from the tourism industry to network, negotiate and do business. In 2017, ITB hosted 10,000 exhibitors and 196,000 visitors of which 120,000 were trade. Overall, more than 185 countries were represented. ITB 2018 is a five-day event, open to trade and consumers.

Destination Australia Conference 2018 | Melbourne
Tourism Australia’s fourth annual Destination Australia Conference will be held at The Glasshouse in Melbourne. Well established as the top tourism marketing conference in Australia, it attracts approximately 350 of Australia’s most influential tourism leaders. In 2018 the conference  will feature a top line-up of speakers.

Ni Hao WA 2018 | Swan Valley
Ni Hao WA (Chinese for ‘hello’) is an annual event for the State's tourism industry. It will not only showcase the State, but will also help grow business relationships with key tourism trade partners in China, Hong Kong and for the first time, Taiwan.
The event provides an opportunity for selected Chinese trade buyers to tour the State as part of a familiarisation program to gain greater product knowledge before participating in one-on-one appointments with the WA tourism industry. Ni Hao WA also includes a Market Briefing update on China and Hong Kong and networking opportunities with key industry partners and China trade media.

European Product Workshop | London, UK
Tourism Australia and Tourism New Zealand are joining forces to host the biennial European Product Workshop in London. The event includes a seller briefing and networking dinner as well as two full days of one-on-one appointments, with a day dedicated to both Australia and New Zealand product.

Australian Tourism Exchange | South Australia
The Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) is Australia’s largest annual travel and tourism business-to-business event. It brings together Australia’s tourism industry in a forum to showcase their products directly to tourism wholesalers and retailers from around the world, through a combination of scheduled business appointments and networking events.

IMEX Frankfurt 2018 | Frankfurt, Germany

IMEX in Frankfurt offers four days dedicated to enhancing your tourism business and knowledge, including three trade show days. Keep up to date with all the latest trends, and enjoy educational programs from visionary thinkers, leading associations and industry groups. IMEX in Frankfurt is an event for business, education and networking.

Just Another Day in WA East Coast Roadshow
Tourism WA is hosting a networking and educational roadshow, aimed at connecting trade partners based in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne with key WA tourism industry operators.  The 2018 Just Another Day in WA East Coast Roadshow will allow participating companies to educate, exchange information, build relationships with key decision-makers and frontline agents, and provide delegates with an opportunity to build relationships with travel trade media. Australian Indigenous Tourism Conference | Victoria
The Western Australian Indigenous Tourism Operators Council (WAITOC) has announced the ninth Australian Indigenous Tourism Conference (AITC) will be held in Lorne, Victoria in November 2018. Facilitated by WAITOC, hosted by Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation and supported by the State Government of Victoria and Outback Academy, the conference will table the opportunities and challenges within the industry and include presentations by tourism industry leaders.
