Albany Visitor Centre
As the days shorten and the cold weather creeps in, venues across Albany will heat up with a wide variety of arts, culture and children’s events. The Maritime Festival celebrates the city’s cultural and maritime history, including that of Albany’s Menang Noongar people – who have strong links to the sea dating back thousands of years.<br/><br/>The Maritime Festival is presented by the City of Albany.
Nannup Gardens
Be prepared to be delighted and surprised as you wander through the Live Experience Nannup, Nannup Flower and Garden Festival. You will enjoy seeing the glorious flower beds featuring tulips, hyacinths and daffodils lining the main street of town. The festival includes free and low-cost activities, which are held in sheltered marquees or community buildings around town. Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival
Margaret River Readers and Writers Festival (MRRWF) 2025 will encompass a three-day literary festival in Margaret River, the Busselton Book Festival—a two-day literary event in Busselton with special events in Dunsborough and Yallingup—and the Young Readers & Writers Program (YR&W), which runs for two weeks over the Festival period and brings children's authors to regional and remote schools in the South West. MRRWF exists to showcase storytelling in all its forms, spark new ideas and conversations, ask big questions, and foster a love of literature. MRRWF promotes, showcases, and champions the works of new, emerging and established authors, journalists, and big thinkers. <br/><br/>The Festival features a program of author talks, book launches, cultural activities, author panels, writers' workshops, highlight events, writers' industry networking sessions, creative storytelling sessions, lectures and seminars, interactive and immersive storytelling, and school visits. Alongside the paid program, the Festival delivers a robust program of free and low-cost community storytelling events to support the needs of the community and ensure accessibility and inclusion for all.<br/><br/>Come along and discover a celebration of storytelling, creativity, and community in the picturesque Margaret River region.
TRIATHLON WESTERN AUSTRALIA INCORPORATED
The Busselton Festival of Triathlon is one of WA's biggest celebrations of multisport! Set against the stunning backdrop of Busselton, Western Australia, the festival draws athletes of all experience levels and abilities to compete in two action-packed days of swim- bike-run fun. With a variety of triathlon race distances, an expo, food trucks, and family-friendly activities, it’s more than just a sporting event; it’s an experience. Come and race, spectate and cheer, or just soak up the awesome festival atmosphere. Everyone is welcome.<br/><br/>Race distances include the Busselton 100 (2-kilometre swim, 80-kilometre cycle, 18-kilometre run), Busselton Aquabike, Busselton Foreshore Triathlon (Sprint or Enticer), and Kids Triathlon.<br/><br/>Entries for the Festival events sell out quickly, so dive in today! The Lake Argyle Swim is a stunning 10-kilometre or 20-kilometre open water swim in the freshwater expanse of Lake Argyle. Swim solo or in teams of two or four. There will be an open-air Gala Presentation Dinner with great music and MC follows a fantastic day of swimming.

Celebrate West Australia’s best colonial festival is on the first Sunday in May every year. The town of Toodyay will step back in time yet again to celebrate the life and times of the iconic Moondyne Joe, the iconic Western Australian Bushranger by hosting the Moondyne Festival Toodyay. Bringing the infamous Avon Valley bushranger Moondyne Joe and his escapades to life. <br/><br/>The highlight of the day was the re-enactment of Moondyne Joe’s various escapades and his mock trials. The opening ceremony is at 10 am, Locals and guests dress in 19th-century costumes for a colourful procession down the main street, headed by the Police Pipe Band which will be followed by a fun, colourful, energetic and noisy parade with street actors, stilt walkers, town crier blacksmith, wood chopping and much more. <br/><br/>Cheer on ‘Joe’s Gang’ and the floozies, coppers, swaggies and town criers as Joe is tried by a kangaroo court convicted by a corrupt judge and escapes with the assistance of local inhabitants who love Joe. As well as the street entertainment, the main street will be filled with food, craft & variety stalls, displays, performances and demonstrations. <br/><br/>Flea Market, dancers, acrobats and dancers entertain you along the way as you explore the festival. The festival has something for everyone to have a fantastic day out.
Rapid Ascent - VIC
The Margaret River Ultra Marathon provides an incredible journey through the forests, trails, beaches and bluffs on the beautiful Cape to Cape coastline in Southwest Western Australia. Run past famous surf breaks, iconic wineries and charismatic coastal villages in a journey that is as magical as the Margaret River region is beautiful.<br/><br/>The 80-kilometre ultra course starts on the white sands at Hamelin Bay in the south and runs up the coast to finish at the iconic Howard Park winery at Wilyabrup. It also includes a 42-kilometre Trail Marathon starting at Yallingup in the north and running south to the same epic finish line on Sunday.<br/><br/>The electric race atmosphere and camaraderie on the course are multiplied twice over at the Howard Park finish line as runners celebrate their accomplishments to the tunes of live music, food, wine, beer and gratitude. <br/><br/>Whether you’re a trail running rookie or a long-distance devotee, make the Margaret River Ultra Marathon your next running goal.
