2019 Regional Development Commission (RDC) factsheets

These factsheets provide an in-depth look at visitors to Western Australia's 10 Regional Development Commission areas. The factsheets include information on visitor numbers, where they come from, how much they spend, reason for travel, where they stay and who they are.

The factsheets are based on Tourism Research Australia's National and International Visitor Surveys. To improve the data reliability, they report on the annual average visitation based on the past three years (2017-2019).

With limited visitation to WA in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent travel restrictions, it has not been possible to produce individual RDC factsheets for 2020.  For overall visitor trends by RDC, download the 2020 visitor data by RDC.

On 22 December 2021, Tourism WA amended our definition of spend for both international and domestic visitors to align with Tourism Research Australia reporting.  All historic spend figures on this website and within publications have been updated with the new spend definition and will differ to previously published results.  For more details, please see the Changing Visitor Spend factsheet.
