Chief Executive Officer - Rebecca Brown

Ms Rebecca Brown commenced as Director General of the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (JTSI) in September 2018. In this role, she is also Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Western Australia.  Ms Brown has overseen significant changes across JTSI to position the agency as critical to advancing the State Government's key policy agendas, including growing local jobs, diversifying the State's industry base and export potential and continuing to leverage the broader research, science and innovation community to advance outcomes for Western Australia. She was appointed Acting Director General of the Department of the Premier and Cabinet from March 2020 to May 2021 to support the State Government's early response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ms Brown returned to her role as Director General of JTSI in June 2021. Ms Brown has worked across both Federal and State government agencies in a range of senior roles across revenue and economic policy, social policy, resourcing and performance. This included overseeing the reform of the WA health system, including the establishment of a new governance model and the development of the Health Services Act 2016Ms Brown has held senior positions at both WA Treasury and the WA Department of the Premier and Cabinet, where she oversaw key reforms between the public and non-profit community sectors. Ms Brown has an Honours Degree in Economics from the University of Western Australia and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.  

A/Managing Director - Derryn Belford

Derryn is responsible for the day-to-day operations of our agency including the promotion of WA as an incredible tourism destination; working with industry and government to improve access, accommodation and tourism experiences; and delivering a world-class events calendar. She works closely with the Tourism WA Chair and Commissioners, as well as the CEO/Director General of the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation. Derryn worked in Perth and London prior to joining Tourism WA in 2008. She has held several roles in our agency, including Director Strategy and Policy, and Executive Director Destination Development. Derryn has been A/Managing Director since October 2020.

Executive Director - Events - Saskia Doherty

Saskia leads the Events Division, which develops, sponsors, markets and promotes a diverse calendar of sporting, cultural, arts and culinary events that showcase Western Australia as a great place to live, work and visit. Saskia has worked on significant projects including Margaret River Gourmet Escape, NRL State of Origin, Manchester United in Perth, Bledisloe Cup, ATP Cup, Fed Cup, the Margaret River Pro, Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) and international sporting fixtures including cricket, and soccer. She joined Tourism WA in November 2009.

Executive Director - Marketing - Mollie Hill

Mollie and her team focus on destination marketing, leading the WA tourism brand strategy ('Our Story') and the development and implementation of destination marketing campaigns. The division oversees media, digital platforms, data strategy, social content, PR, the ambassador strategy and delivers insights and planning for the organisation. Mollie has worked in marketing agencies across Australia, Asia and Latin America with experience across government, tourism, technology, retail and banking. She joined Tourism WA in February 2019.

Executive Director - Industry, Aviation and Markets - Carolyn Turnbull

Carolyn and her team are in charge of implementing our marketing strategy in Australia and our key international markets. This includes working with airlines, wholesalers, retail and online agents, and other key partners to communicate WA's brand messages and increase visitors to WA.  The division also looks after aviation development and contracts with WA's five Regional Tourism Organisations, Tourism Council WA and Business Events Perth. Carolyn has more than 20 years of international leadership experience in the tourism and hospitality industry, including senior executive roles with Aman, Hyatt and IHG. Recently she spearheaded the development of the western gateway as Chief Aviation Development Officer at Perth Airport. Carolyn started at Tourism WA in October 2020.

A/Executive Director - Destination Development - Renata Lowe

Renata leads the Destination Development Division, which focuses on the supply-side of tourism, working with the public and private sectors to encourage the development of incredible tourism experiences and destinations that create memorable holidays.  The division is responsible for Aboriginal tourism, workforce development, cruise tourism attraction, policy and planning, destination development and includes a case management team to help significant private sector developments navigate planning approvals. Renata has around 30 years' experience in the tourism industry working in  visitor servicing, marketing and destination development.  She is a past CEO of Australia‚Äôs Golden Outback regional tourism organisation, interim CEO of the WA Indigenous Tourism Operators Council, and was a Tourism Policy Advisor for former State Tourism Ministers. She joined Tourism WA in 2009.

Executive Director - Corporate Services - David Lowe

David leads the Corporate Services team which supports the agency by providing financial services, risk management, human resources management, information management, ICT and procurement/contract services. David has worked in the WA Public Sector for more than 30 years. His career spans roles at Water Corporation, Family and Children's Services, MetroBus and the Public Service Commission.  In 2019, David accepted an expanded role providing corporate services to the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation. David joined Tourism WA in 2001.

Manager - Office of the Managing Director - Robyn Robb

Robyn leads the Office of the Managing Director, which incorporates the wider Executive Services team and provides support to the Board, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Management Team.  The Office is responsible for Ministerial liaison, corporate hospitality and leads the development of our corporate strategic and operational plans. Robyn has worked in the WA Public Sector for almost 20 years, with her career including roles within the Departments of the Premier and Cabinet, and Finance.  She has also worked in advisory roles within the offices of Federal Members of Parliament. Robyn started at Tourism WA in July 2019.

Manager - Corporate Communications - Kelly Eadie

Kelly leads the Corporate Communications team, which is responsible for promoting our initiatives and programs to industry and other stakeholders. This also includes issues management, media liaison and internal communications. Kelly has more than 25 years' experience as a journalist and a government communications professional. She has worked for various media organisations in Perth, Victoria and the UK. She joined Tourism WA in December 2010.

Chief Financial Officer - Renato Sansalone 

Renato is responsible for our financial and accounting services and ensuring the agency's compliance with financial matters. Renato has more than 25 years' experience working in finance-related positions within the WA Public Sector. Previous agencies include the Department of Culture and the Arts, where he held Chief Financial Officer roles at the Art Gallery of WA and the WA Museum, the Department for Planning and Infrastructure, and the Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor. Renato joined Tourism WA in 2012 and is also currently the Chief Finance Officer for the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation and the Anzac Day Trust.
