Building dream experiences

Developing, delivering and promoting experiences that showcase the essence of Western Australia are core to the growth and sustainability of our tourism sector.

Experiences allow visitors to immerse themselves in a destination, understand the culture and history and truly connect with what makes a destination special.

To help develop new and diverse tourism product, we have a team within our agency who work with industry and operators directly to support them in creating new experiences.

We also administer the National Park Tourism Experiences Development (NPTED) Program, which aims to create diverse, high quality, environmentally conscious and culturally sensitive tourism experiences in and around national parks and protected areas.

Assistance is provided via:

  • Facilitating the development, implementation and delivery of ‘new’ or the ‘evolution of existing’ destination driving experiences;
  • Business case development, consultancy and feasibility studies;
  • Guidance with market readiness of new bookable experiences;
  • Advice and guidance to private sector operators through various stages of planning and approvals;
  • Community consultation; and
  • Development and distribution of industry-facing publications that support industry growth and capacity building.
