Tourism WA worked with Faster Horses on a project to inform future decision making processes associated with marketing and development priorities to support the growth of the Agritourism sector in Western Australia (WA).
The research uncovered the current perceptions and knowledge of this niche sector which informed a breakdown of the needs, motivations, characteristics, awareness and barriers of the Agritourism market for WA. It also discovered the appeal and preferences of WA's specific tourism regions and how they rank on size and opportunity.
The research highlights who the Agritourism consumer is, and what they are looking for when they participate in an Agritourism experience in WA.
