​The itineraries included in the familiarisation program are initiated by our international and domestic marketing teams.

After consultation with our Familiarisations Manager, visits are managed by our staff or contractors at times of high demand.

Our goal is to develop itineraries which result in the best possible promotion of the State. The promotion of a destination through a famil can provide benefits for the rest of WA by inspiring more people to visit.

Itineraries for media and trade familiarisations vary significantly. Media groups are looking for a story angle, an interesting character to interview or a good photograph.  Trade is interested in seeing as much commissionable product as possible in order to confidently sell it to their clients. Itineraries prepared by us reflect these different requirements.
