The domestic market – WA’s largest source of visitors - includes WA (intrastate) as well as the remainder of Australia (interstate).

To promote WA to the interstate market, we focus on:

  • Brand marketing to inspire interstate consumers who want to visit Western Australia;

  • Cooperative marketing by working with highly-recognised retail travel brands that have the ability to retail a wide range of Western Australian tourism products and generate bookings;

  • Events marketing around key events supported by Tourism WA.

Our campaigns target six different types of consumer segments, however three of these -  Escape and Connect; Bright Lights; and Off the Beaten Track, have been identified as priority segments for interstate marketing. Find out more information about the segments on the domestic market profiles page.
