Domestic campaign

Tourism WA's recent 'Summer is the greatest show in Perth '  domestic campaign launched on Sunday 27 October 2019.

The campaign targeted East Coast visitors in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland and highlighted all the best things to do in Perth during summer including the festivals, Fringe World and Perth Festival that bring the city alive from January through March as well as other key events.

As part of the campaign, Tourism WA partnered with Australian Radio Network (ARN) and Melbourne-born comedian Peter Rowsthorn who fell in love with Perth and has made it his home, to create fun and engaging online and social video content. The partnership with ARN also included radio boosters voiced by Pete, a consumer competition to win the ultimate Perth holiday along with a commercial radio advertising schedule.

Take a look at the 'Pete's Perth-cation'  video, which showcased Pete exploring the city from Cottesloe Beach to Rottnest Island, Kings Park and more, below.

The campaign also included a partnership with Macquarie Radio Network (MRN) in which radio presenter John Stanley (3AW, 2GB, 4BC) broadcast his national program, Nights with John Stanley, to these target audiences live from Perth. A range of Perth and surrounds destination content featured throughout the program including live and pre-recorded interviews with Perth operators. Online video content, social media and content partnerships with publishers such as Australian Traveller were also included.

The campaign featured a compelling 20 per cent off Perth hotels offer with Wotif.com, which also ran across Wotif's digital channels, to attract these prospective East Coast visitors to book their holiday with WA.
