​With growing interest in cycle tourism, a need to undertake dedicated consumer research into the cycle tourism market has been identified, giving consideration to market segmentation and market potential.

In November 2017, Tourism WA commissioned a local market research agency, Faster Horses, to undertake research to size and segment the domestic cycle tourism market.
