The following consumer insights reports are based on the results of the Consumer Demand Project (CDP) 2017.

The CDP is a large scale online survey run annually since 2012 by BDA on behalf of Tourism Australia, with Tourism WA and other STOs also partnering in the project in 2016 and 2017. The purpose of the CDP is to annually monitor Australia’s brand health in relation to competing holiday destinations, and to provide insight into the changing perceptions, motivations, and desires of consumers.

A report is available for WA's key international markets as well as domestic and international markets overviews. They cover a broad range of topics including motivations for selecting a holiday destination, experience preferences, WA’s performance in the purchase funnel (consideration, awareness, intention and visitation), and important insights for targeted marketing.
