The first Camping with Custodians campground in the Pilbara, at Peedamulla Station near Onslow, was officially opened in April 2018.

Peedamulla Station is a 220,000ha Aboriginal-owned pastoral station which runs from the North West Coastal Highway to the coast.
The station is home to a collection of heritage-listed buildings and structures – one of which was restored for use as the campground office/store.

The nature-based campground contains both powered and unpowered sites, gas barbeques, hot water showers and flushing toilets.

In keeping with the Camping with Custodians model, visitors to Peedamulla can engage with the local Aboriginal community, and learn about traditional customs and life on a pastoral station.
