Tourism eMarketplace

The Tourism eMarketplace Program (TeM) was initiated by Tourism WA in 2005 to provide tourism industry development and support in the online environment.

TeM supports its participant organisations in the creation and growth of a network of sophisticated tourism websites.

These websites provide online marketing and sales opportunities for TeM participants, which combine to strengthen the competitive position of WA as a tourism destination.

The following benefits are shared by the TeM participants

  • Low cost entry into the online environment supported by the eMarketplace team at Tourism WA
  • Free access to Tourism WA's online image library
  • The network of websites provides cross promotional opportunities and therefore drives more traffic to your website
  • Are all linked from Tourism WA's website www.westernaustralia.com, which is extensively marketed by Tourism WA both in Australia and Worldwide
  • Share a common website technical infrastructure, web page templates, resources and functionalities.
  • Opportunities for new online revenue streams via product sales and advertising
  • The website can be built and maintained by someone with no previous website experience
  • Workshops provided such as Search engine Optimisation and Writing for the Online environment courses
  • Statistical information about the website performance
  • The templates are kept up to date with current web trends

Website Migration

The Tourism eMarketplace division is beginning an extensive project to migrate the Regional Tourism Organisation and Visitor Centre websites across to a newer and better-supported content management system.

We look forward to collaborating with the Regional and VC officers in reviewing and updating the content of their websites, to benefit visitor useability and search engine optimisation.
