Tourism WA has launched an online viral campaign in response to Costa Brava’s Pyrenees Tourism officials using an image of a Western Australian beach to illustrate a strip of the northeastern Spanish coastline.
Extensive research showed that visitors to Western Australia believe it offers a variety of unique, natural experiences in an unspoilt, pristine environment. WA is renowned for its relaxed, laid back lifestyle and its friendly, down to earth locals.
Tourism Western Australia ran a content rich campaign from March 2008 to June 2008. The campaign aimed to educate the New Zealand consumer on Western Australia’s unique experiences and destinations, whilst also offering tactical deals to drive conversion.
In 2007 TWA ran a brand and digital campaign in the UK. The objectives of the online elements were to increase awareness, knowledge and desire of Western Australia and to improve brand recognition of the ‘Real Australia’ TV ads.
