Tourism Council WA workshops | Perth, North West and Bunbury
Tourism Council WA is delivering a range of short, practical and affordable training workshops across Western Australia in 2017. These workshops, which are funded by Tourism WA, are updated regularly to ensure they remain relevant to your industry, taking into account the latest information, research and trends.  Workshops include: Building your brand through digital marketing, China Ready, Tourism BOOST, Working smarter online, Facebook for business and Media and public relations.

Ecotourism Australia’s Global Eco Asia Pacific Conference | Adelaide, South Australia
The 25th anniversary conference will gather key tourism operators, protected area managers, tourism organisations, indigenous bodies and researchers from 20 nations.  

Registrations are now open for the 2017 CIAWA State Conference, which brings together a collective mindset and a place to share ideas. It’s an ideal opportunity for industry to re-connect, re-engage and re-energise whilst making the most of the networking and social activities planned across the three days.

Learn to be a tour guide with Global Gypsies | Yanchep National Park
Global Gypsies, Western Australia’s touring and training experts, are running their next tour guide training course. It will be hosted by Parks and Wildlife, now the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions at their campground facilities at Yanchep National Park. The hands-on course has been specifically designed for aspiring guides or guides already working in the field and will cover content such customer relations, risk management, environmental responsibility and cultural awareness.

Dreamtime | Brisbane
Tourism Australia's signature event for promoting the country as a world-class incentive destination will be held in Brisbane for the first time. Dreamtime brings together Australian industry with qualified buyers from key markets including Greater China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, New Zealand, USA and the UK.

Tourism Council WA Xmas Tipple | Burswood | 5.30-8pm
Reflect on another great year with industry colleagues at the traditional Tourism Council WA (TCWA) Xmas Tipple. This event is an opportunity for the tourism industry to join together and relax, reflect and enjoy following another year filled with hard work. Register on the TCWA website.

Greater China Travel Mission | Guangzhou, China
The GCTM enables  Australian tourism businesses to engage with approximately 70 key Chinese buyers and establish business links through a scheduled appointment program. The GCTM buyers are end decision makers from mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan who actively sell Australia as a preferred long-haul destination to Chinese travellers. The event will also provide opportunities for Australian suppliers to learn more about travel trends in the Greater China region.

Greater China Premium Travel Showcase | Guangzhou, China
GCPTS 2017 provides a forum for premium Australian tourism businesses to engage with approximately 30 key premium Chinese buyers and establish business links through a scheduled appointment program. The GCPTS buyers are end decision makers from mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan who actively sell Australia as a preferred premium long-haul destination to Chinese travellers. It will also provide opportunities for Australian suppliers to learn more about travel trends in the Greater China region and to showcase their premium products.

Aspire Program Lunch  | Perth
The Perth Convention Bureau Aspire Program lunch is a free educational seminar aimed at helping potential applicants understand the Aspire Program application process and hear from a previous Aspire Award winner.  This event will be held on Monday February 5, 2018, from 12 noon to 2.30pm at the River View Room 5, Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. Qantas Australian Tourism Awards | Perth

The Qantas Australian Tourism Awards are the industry’s premier awards program recognising outstanding industry achievement in 25 categories. The event is expected to attract more than 800 people from across the country including Federal and State tourism ministers, CEOs of state and regional tourism bodies and tourism industry leaders.

Walkabout Japan | Karuizawa, Japan
Walkabout Japan presents an opportunity for Australian tourism products and services to engage with key Japanese travel agencies.  Buyers will include a mix of 30 wholesale planners, group sales, media sales, FIT sections in major agencies, local travel agencies, OTAs and land operators from Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka. Thirty Australian seller organisations will be selected to represent a balanced and wide cross-section of Australian organisations with products or services potentially attractive to the Japanese market.

International Tourismus Boerse (ITB) Berlin | Germany
The Internationale Tourismus Börse (ITB) brings together prominent people from the tourism industry to network, negotiate and do business. In 2017, ITB hosted 10,000 exhibitors and 196,000 visitors of which 120,000 were trade. Overall, more than 185 countries were represented. ITB 2018 is a five-day event, open to trade and consumers.

European Product Workshop | London, UK
Tourism Australia and Tourism New Zealand are joining forces to host the biennial European Product Workshop in London. The event includes a seller briefing and networking dinner as well as two full days of one-on-one appointments, with a day dedicated to both Australia and New Zealand product.


April 15-19 
Australian Tourism Exchange | South Australia
The Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) is Australia’s largest annual travel and tourism business-to-business event. It brings together Australia’s tourism industry in a forum to showcase their products directly to tourism wholesalers and retailers from around the world, through a combination of scheduled business appointments and networking events.

IMEX Frankfurt 2018 | Frankfurt, Germany
IMEX in Frankfurt offers four days dedicated to enhancing your tourism business and knowledge, including three trade show days. Keep up to date with all the latest trends, and enjoy educational programs from visionary thinkers, leading associations and industry groups. IMEX in Frankfurt is an event for business, education and networking.
