These factsheets provide an in-depth look at visitation to Western Australia's Regional Development Commission areas. They include information on visitor source markets, reason for travel, accommodation choices and visitor demographics.

These factsheets are based on Tourism Research Australia's National and International Visitor Surveys. To improve the reliability of the visitation estimates for these areas, the factsheets below report annual average visitation based on the last three calendar years (2014-2016).

Please note:
There have been significant methodological changes to the International Visitor Survey (IVS) and National Visitor Survey (NVS). They are detailed here. Due to these changes, visitation estimates for 2014 onwards should not be compared to estimates for previous years.

These factsheets are based on visitation estimates for a collection of Australian Bureau of Statistics’ Statistical Area Level 2s (SA2s) that together best represent the development commission region. The SA2s included in each region are listed on the last page of each fact sheet.
