The National Long-Term Tourism Strategy (NLTTS) was launched by the Hon Martin Ferguson AM MP, Federal Minister for Tourism, on 15 December 2009.
The NLTTS outlines the long-term policy framework to position the Australian tourism industry as a sustainable and economically vibrant industry. Its recommendations are currently being implemented by a series of working groups who report through the Australian Standing Committee on Tourism (ASCOT) and subsequently to the Tourism Ministers’ Council (TMC).
Further information on the NLTTS can be found on the Commonwealth Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism website.
