Tourism policy and planning

 

Tourism Western Australia’s Infrastructure and Investment team is responsible for developing and implementing projects relating to the Landbank and Naturebank projects and the top 15 tourism development priorities.

Its roles include:

  • negotiating with stakeholders to ensure appropriate development outcomes
  • liaising with other government bodies (federal, state and local) on infrastructure provision, aviation development and strategically significant projects
  • building relationships with key stakeholders

Tourism Development Priorities (TDP)

The Tourism Development Priorities (TDP) are a series of documents that identify tourism product and infrastructure priorities across each of Western Australia’s five tourism regions.

Tourism WA is regularly required to provide a response on behalf of the industry on changes to legislation or policy that may affect tourism. In addition, Tourism WA represents the industry on various taskforces and committees.
