The  Register of Significant Tourist Accommodation Development (formerly the Tourism Accommodation Development Register), tracks projects in the planning, construction and completed stages of development within Western Australia’s five tourism regions. The register continuously monitors the level of tourist accommodation development activity occurring throughout Western Australia and reports the results at the end of every financial year.

To align with the restructure of Tourism WA, the criteria for inclusion in the register for the 2011 financial year has been modified to reflect the agency’s focus on larger projects in key areas of the State. To be included in this year's publication the accommodation development must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Hold a valid planning approval or building licence
  • Include 10 or more lettable units
  • Be located within a specified Local Government Area, as identified by Tourism WA.
