Eventscorp’s new Arts and Cultural Events (ACE) Scheme is designed to assist with the development of significant arts and cultural events in Western Australia, with the aim of supporting Western Australia’s national and international profile as a leading and vibrant event and tourism destination.
From July 1 2008, total funding of up to $500,000 per year over three years will be made available through the scheme to support significant arts and cultural events in Western Australia.
The scheme is designed to assist new and established events that:
• Are able to demonstrate innovative and creative ways to elevate their event to a national and/or international level;
• Have a considerable degree of prestige;
• Have a high level of community support; and
• Contribute positively to the status and profile of Western Australia as a dynamic tourism and event destination.
Applications for the 2008/09 ACE Scheme are open from 19 February and close 4pm Friday, 4 April 2008.
