Eventscorp’s Arts and Cultural Events (ACE) Scheme is designed to assist with the development of significant arts and cultural events in Western Australia, with the aim of supporting Western Australia’s national and international profile as a leading and vibrant event and tourism destination.

On 1st July 2008, funding of up to $500,000 per year over three years was set aside through the scheme to support significant arts and cultural events.
The overall standard of submissions over the 2008/09 and 2009/10 period has been high and five events have been successful:

Successful Applicants Round 1

Perth Fashion Festival (2008/2009)
Sculpture by the Sea (2009/2010)
Fremantle Street Arts Festival (2009/2010)

Successful Applicants Round 2

Revelation Perth International Film Festival (2009/2010)
FotoFreo (2010)

An amount of $430,000 remains in the ACE Scheme pool for allocation of the 2010/11 period. It is envisaged this remaining allocation will support two or three events.

The scheme is designed to assist new and established events that:

  • Are able to demonstrate innovative and creative ways to elevate their event to a national and/or international level;
  • Have a considerable degree of prestige;
  • Have a high level of community support; and
  • Contribute positively to the status and profile of Western Australia as a dynamic tourism and event destination.

Applications for the 2010/11 ACE Scheme close 4pm 12th February 2010.
