Trade marketing builds partnerships and relationships with the WA tourism industry and key distribution channels, such as airlines, travel wholesalers and retailers in all active markets. This aims to increase the amount of Western Australian product in international travel brochures and to facilitate cooperative marketing with a call to action for the consumer. Trade marketing staff or representatives operate out of offices in:
- UK (London) representing UK and Ireland;
- Germany (Munich), representing Germany, Switzerland and Netherlands;
- Singapore representing Singapore and Malaysia;
- Korea (Seoul);
- China (Shanghai) representing China and Hong Kong;
- Japan (Tokyo);
- New Zealand (Auckland);
- Australia (Sydney), representing interstate marketing (predominantly NSW and Victoria).

Brand Tactical
These campaigns are done in partnership with distribution partners using brand imagery together with product/price offers to influence immediate consumer purchases.
Trade Shows
Organise WA participation in events that provide operators with a forum to showcase their products, meet national and international contacts and negotiate business
deals. Events are either market specific, or global such as the Australian Tourism Exchange.
Retail Training Programs
Knowledgeable retail staff are vital in sealing the deal in the highly competitive area of leisure travel. Regional Tourism Organisations, operators, and trade marketing staff conduct training for wholesale agencies, retail travel agents, and airline reservation staff.
Aviation Development
Strategies to strengthen airline relationships and grow frequency and capacity into WA. This is done through consumer and trade activities to increase desire to visit WA.
