The Executive Management Team includes the Chief Executive Officer, four Executive Directors, Chief Financial Officer, Director of Executive and Strategic Services and the Director of Corporate Communications.

Chief Executive Officer - Stephen Wood

The Chief Executive Officer plays a key role in helping to increase the contribution of tourism to WA’s economy. The CEO leads the promotion of Western Australia as an extraordinary tourism destination nationally and internationally, facilitates the development of tourism infrastructure and works to deliver a world-class events calendar. In addition, the CEO is responsible for leading the strategic direction and policies of the tourism industry as well as executing strategies to ensure the growth of the industry.

​Executive Director - Events - Saskia Doherty

Events play an important role in tourism as they provide visitors with a specific reason to book their trip or extend a visit, provide a boost to the economy, add pride and vibrancy, and raise the profile of WA through media exposure.  The Events Division develops, sponsors, markets and promotes a diverse calendar of sporting, cultural, arts and culinary events that showcase Western Australia as a great place to live, work and visit.

Executive Director - Strategy, Brand and Marketing Services - Louise Scott

The Strategy, Brand & Marketing Services Division leads the development of tourism industry strategies and Tourism WA’s corporate strategic and operational plans. It has stewardship of the Experience Extraordinary brand and its refinement and evolution, and oversees the development of marketing material and campaigns. Key functions include strategic planning, market research and analysis, campaign planning and development, destination public relations and digital marketing.

A/Executive Director - Markets & Partnerships - Louise Scott

The Markets & Partnerships Division is responsible for implementing Tourism WA's marketing strategy in Australia and in key international markets by adapting it to local consumer insights and industry conditions. The division works with airlines, wholesalers, agents, Tourism Australia and WA tourism operators to communicate WA's brand messages and bring visitors to WA.  Its key functions include domestic and international marketing, oversight of regional tourism organisation and Perth Convention Bureau contracts, and familiarisations.

Executive Director - Destination Development - Derryn Belford

The Destination Development Division focuses on identifying how different WA locations can grow their tourism sectors, and supporting major projects that will draw visitors to particular destinations. The division consists of four teams: Aviation; Policy and Planning; Strategy; and Programs (including Royalties for Regions).

Executive Director - Corporate and Business Services - David Lowe

The Corporate and Business Services Division supports the agency by providing financial services, risk management, human resources management, information management, ICT and procurement/contract services.

Manager - Executive Services - Carroll Selwood

The Executive Services team provides support to the Board and Chief Executive Officer. It is also responsible for Ministerial liaison.

Director - Corporate Communications - Louise Rowe 

Corporate Communications promotes Tourism WA’s initiatives and programs to industry and other stakeholders. It is responsible for issues management, media liaison, stakeholder engagement and internal communications.

​Chief Financial Officer - Renato Sansalone  

The Chief Financial Officer provides Tourism WA’s financial and accounting services and ensures the agency’s compliance with financial matters.
